TRW Conekt to present at ‘Road to Autonomy’

Dr Mark Tucker and Dr Kevin Richardson will participating in the ‘Road to Autonomy’ workshop that is due to be held at Coventry University's TechnoCentre on Wednesday 7th July 2010.  The workshop has been organised by the Transport Knowledge Transfer Network.

During the workshop, Mark Tucker will deliver a presentation entitled ‘Driver Assistance Systems (DAS) and the Road to Autonomous Driving’.  Mark is Conekt's technology leader in Data Fusion and Control and has many years of experience of developing DAS systems particularly video lane detection and lane keeping, and radar object detection.

Mark's presentation will provide an overview of how DAS systems are increasingly supporting the driving task and how they might ultimately enable cars of the future to operate with a high degree of autonomy.  Specifically, Mark will consider how models of innovation diffusion might help with understanding the rate at which these advanced safety systems get widely adopted.
