TRW Conekt Exhibits at Counter Terror Expo 2012
The Olympia Exhibitions & Conference Centre in London will be hosting the Counter Terror Expo over 25th and 26th April 2012. Counter Terror Expo is the leading global event for organisations engaged in the development of products and systems aimed at reducing terrorist threats.
TRW Conekt will exhibit at the event on stand C111 highlighting its sensing and actuation capabilities, including vision and radar sensing technologies for unmanned and autonomous systems.
As a technology-led, leading edge solutions provider for the defence industry, Conekt's expertise has enabled the development of real world deployable solutions and research for vehicle sensing and control.
Conekt aims to further develop radar and vision sensors for autonomous vehicle guidance - sharing and transferring the technology across automotive and defence sectors to maximise value for money and minimise costs. The same underlying technology can be used for DAS (Driver Assistance Systems) in automotive as well as autonomous vehicles in the defence sector.
Conekt has been developing vision and radar technologies for over two decades and has extensive experience of developing ACC (adaptive cruise control) and LDW (lane departure warning) driver assistance systems for the automotive and commercial vehicle markets. These systems have been supplied by TRW to major vehicle manufacturers globally since 2000 and 2008 respectively.
