TRW Conekt exhibits at Low Carbon Vehicle Event

For the second year running, TRW Conekt will be exhibiting at the Low Carbon Vehicle event LCV2010 at Millbrook.  This unique event provides Conekt with the platform to demonstrate the innovative work being undertaken within the field of low carbon vehicles and hybrid technologies.

Following a range of successful hybrid technology and electric vehicle projects including zero emissions fuel cell hybrid London taxi, driverless steering systems and environmental testing on lithium-Ion EV battery packaging, Conekt has an array of expertise to offer to suppliers that are providing technology-led solutions.

Conekt has been working closely with a number of leading automotive organisations to bring its range of advanced automotive products to the field of electric and hybrid vehicles. TRW’s Electrically Powered Hydraulic Steering (EPHS) system provides precisely the required amount of steering assistance in any situation, greatly reducing power consumption and thus helping to extend the range of the vehicle.

TRW’s Electric Park Brake (EPB) provides class leading functionality, reducing the driver workload and greatly easing packaging by removing the need for any brake cables. Both of these products will be exhibited in September, along with some of Conekt’s other chassis and driver assistance products.
