Conekt a winner in MOD’s Defence Growth Partnership (DGP) Innovation Challenge

Conekt is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of the winners of the second round of the MOD’s Defence Growth Partnership (DGP) Innovation Challenge, to address the challenges of Autonomy and Big Data in defence. Details of the award were given by the Defence Minister Philip Dunne who was speaking at the UK Defence Solutions Centre (UKDSC) in Farnborough earlier this month.


The Innovation Challenge was launched in March 2015 with the aim of encouraging the development of innovative defence products and is delivered through the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory’s (Dstl) Centre for Defence Enterprise (CDE) in partnership with the DGP’s UKDSC.


Conekt’s project is concerned with the dynamic imaging of 3D objects. Speaking after the MOD announcement of the award Conekt’s General Manager, Adrian Mitcham said, “We’re delighted that we’ve been given this opportunity to undertake this highly innovative research project which will build on our years of experience developing image processing algorithms for the automotive industry”.
